Lahore: Blind persons protest for fourth consecutive day, demand rights
Two ministers arrived on spot for negotiations with blind persons
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Blind persons protested outside Punjab Assembly as their protest continued for fourth consecutive day on Wednesday. The protestors blocked metro-route at Kalma Chowk and threw bricks at center door of Punjab Assembly as well, reported Dunya News.
After giving a peaceful protest for 3 days in front of Punjab Assembly, blind persons blocked Mall Road on the 4th day of protest.
The protestors reached Punjab Assembly mid-day as the sweltering heat apparently got to them.
The protestors said that peaceful protests does not affect the government, as the protestors attempted to enter into Punjab Assembly, hitting the central door with sticks in a desperate attempt to enter the premises.

Blind persons have demanded that they be given 1% quota out of 3% allocated for special persons in addition to regularizing blind persons who are on contract jobs. They have also said that the age relaxation on employment should be reduced.
