The Supreme Court on Monday expressed annoyance over non-appointment of NAB chairman after a lapse of 3 months. A Supreme Court bench under the head of Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry was hearing the Harris Steel Mill case. During the proceedings, Justice Khalilur Rehman rebuked Prosecutor General Irfan Qadir for saying that the court is listening to the argument with preoccupation. Justice Ramday told Irfan to mind his language. Justice Ramday asked the AG why it is that after the lapse of three months, the NAB chairman slot is still lying vacant. The CJ observed that only two people: the PM and the opposition have to appoint the NAB chairman, than why the matter is not being resolved under the Constitution.
