Govt could not achieve targets in disaster management, foreign policy, making better merit policy

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pildat issued a report about federal government’s performance. According to the report federal government has failed to control poverty, inflation and unemployment. Report stated that the government could not achieve targets in disaster management, better foreign policy and making a better merit policy for hiring and promotions. Government succeeded to achieve only 60% of targets.

According to the report named ‘Score Card in Federal Government Quality Governance’, government performed worst in its efforts to control poverty. Only 22% of targets were achieved in government’s efforts to decrease poverty.

According to the report, Government could achieve only 37% targets in controlling inflation. Regularity departments failed to perform their duties while government failed to transfer power to grassroots level. Regulatory departments achieved only 38% of targets. Government could achieve only 27% of the targets in making fair system.

Only 32% targets could be achieved in the fields of healthcare, environment protection and recoveries of utility bills while 45% targets were achieved in tax recoveries. Government could achieve only 33% targets in population control.

According to Pildat, Nawaz government achieved 60% targets in making good foreign policy. Government achieved 61% of the targets in hiring and promotions on merit.

Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) could achieve 42% targets in Education and development of water resources while in power production government achieved 49% targets. Report stated that government worked well in decreasing bribery and achieved 59% of targets. Government achieved 52% in pace keeping while 50% targets were achieved in national security and investor friendly atmosphere.
