Will be flag-bearer of party until Bilawal, Aseefa takeover: Zardari
Will continue to serve people over generations, he said
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Former president Asif Ali Zardari on Sunday said that he will lead the party as flag-bearer until Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Aseefa Bhutto Zardari come in politics. He said PPP aims to serve for life and not just for five years.
Addressing PPP rally in Lyari, Karachi, Zardari said that his party will continue to serve everyone instead of one class.
He said his party’s intention is to serve Lyari and to make Lyari a center of peace. He said Lyari saw bloodshed because of ‘remains’ of former military dictator Pervez Musharraf.
Zardari said he has promised that there will be no bloodshed anymore. He said Lyari is the fort of PPP today like it was before.
PPP co-chairman said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan is crying of stolen mandate in this election but PPP’s mandate has been stolen in every election.
Former president announced the issuance of Rs 1 billion for the facility of clean water and other development projects in the Lyari area.
Talking about Pak-China Economic Corridor project, Zardari said that Pakistan is enjoying the fruits of PPP’s efforts todaty. He said his party will not let the project derail in any case.
Zardari urged to ensure rights of Balochs in the economic corridor project. He said India must stop oppression against the people of Kashmir.
