Unknown persons wrap up PTI's election camp in Karimabad
The election camp was attacked by MQM supporters on Friday night.
KARACHI (Web Desk) – Some unknown persons have wrapped up Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) election camp and removed the whole setup from Karimabad area of NA-246 constituency in Karachi today (Saturday), Dunya News reported.
A day earlier, the election camp was ransacked by the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) supporters.
PTI spokesperson Dawood Khan clarified that his party workers have not removed the camp. The camp has been removed by those who attacked it on Friday night, he added.
It may be mentioned here that PTI has fielded Imran Ismail as its candidate against MQM’s Kanwar Naveed Jamil for by-election in NA-246 constituency of Karachi, which is considered stronghold of the latter party.
The seat had fallen vacant after Nabeel Gabol`s resignation.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders are expected to hold a press conference at 5:00pm today to brief the situation.
