MQM sector incharge arrested from New Karachi
Rangers appreciated the role of citizens of Karachi in restoring peace to the city
KARACHI (Dunya News) -- During a raid by Rangers in area of New Karachi on Thurdsay, a sector incharge of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Ali Raza has been arrested, Dunya News reported.
The police also took Shakil, Abid and 2 more MQM workers into custody for questioning. These workers were picked up from Korangi sector Zaman Town.
Ahmed Ali Khan alias Papu Shah, allegedly killer of Parveen Rehman, Director Orangi Town Pilot Project has also been rounded up from Mansehra.
The person in question was also wanted in several cases of robberies.
MQM Rabta committee condemned the arrests of its workers saying that time will prove that the operation against MQM is wrong.
Rabta committee appealed to Prime Minister and Chief Minister to take notice of the incident.
On the other side, Rangers appreciated the role of citizens of Karachi in restoring peace to the city.
The Rangers appealed to the masses not to pay charity to dubious organizations as the money may be funneled to pay for target killings.
According to a statement issued by Spokesman Rangers, if anyone is approached for paying ransom, they should directly contact Rangers.
The statement also added that citizens should identify criminals and their associates if any such activity comes to their notice.
