Mirza's execution was deferred after he revealed MQM chief’s involvement in several killings

BALOCHISTAN (Dunya News) – The law enforcement agencies on Thursday have been given permission to meet death row convict Saulat Mirza in person after he revealed Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain s involvement in several killings in his video message.

According to the details, there is no time limit for the interrogation and it can be as long as the law enforcers want it to be. Mirza was scheduled to be hanged today in the morning at 5am. But the federal government has deferred his execution by at least 72 hours on basis of his accusations on Altaf Hussain and other people affiliated with the party.

According to the Superintendent of Police (SP) Mach Jail, no time limit has been set for his meetings and he can also give his statements in written form. He said that the statements recorded before the magistrate would later be used in the court for appropriate legal action.

The SP said that Mirza would have his final meeting with his family again as the execution was deferred.
