PM invites parliamentary parties' leaderships to luncheon
The political parties have paced up their efforts to make alliances for the Senate chairman's slot.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has invited the leaders of all the parliamentary parties for a luncheon today (Tuesday) in wake of the Senate Chairman and Deputy Chairman elections.
The political parties have paced up their efforts to make alliances for the Senate Chairman and Deputy Chairman elections. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) delegation met Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) members to discuss the nominees. Khawaja Saad Rafique said that Chief Minister (CM) Shahbaz Sharif has called on MQM chief Altaf Hussain in wake of the Senate Chairman election.
Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar called on Governor Sindh Ishratul Ibad to discuss the matter. MQM member Rauf Siddique said that they would deliberate over the recommendations of PML-N.
Saad Rafique and Minister for Information Pervez Rashid met Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid-e-Azam (PML-Q) president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain.
