Eradication of polio is important for the healthy future of Pakistan, says PTI chairman

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Microsoft owner Bill Gates on Tuesday has called on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan and admired ‘Sehat ka Ittehad’ campaign to eradicate polio.

He said that ‘Sehat ka Ittehad’ campaign is a ray of hope. He admired the role of the Pakistan Army in providing security to the polio teams and keeping them safe. Gates expressed his grief over the brutal APS massacre that killed at least 122 student and at least two teachers.

Imran Khan said that eradication of polio is important for the healthy future of Pakistan. He told Gates that PTI included the federal government in the campaign despite of the issues because the cause is way more important.

He said that the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) include at least 5 lac children and needed vaccination.
