According to the government sources, the absentees would have to submit a reply for their absence from the National Assembly and in case of not satisfying the government with their response they could lose their seats.

The session of the assembly started headed by Deputy Speaker Murtaza Javed Abbasi who mentioned the names of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members who have been absent for quite long including Amjad Ali Khan, Sajid Nawaz, Arif Alvi, Shah Mehmood Qureshi and PTI spokesperson Shireen Mazari. He also criticised PM Nawaz Sharif for not showing up in the assembly as many times as he should. He warned off the government saying that if this situation persists then opposition also might not come to attend assembly sessions and the important decision would then be taken on the roads.
