Balochistan education adviser escapes explosion in Quetta

QUETTA (Dunya News) — Adviser to the Balochistan Chief Minister on Education Sardar Raza Muhammad on Tuesday escaped an explosion near Joint Road of Quetta. In the explosion, the vehicle was damaged and the driver suffered from minor injuries.

According to the initial reports, Muhammad Raza was on his way to office when a remotely controlled explosion occurred as his car reached the Joint Road of Quetta. Muhammad Raza escaped the blast but the driver sustained minor injuries. Also as a result of the explosion, the windowpanes of the car were smashed and the car was damaged.

Talking to media, Raza said that he doesn’t suspect any personal enmity to be the cause of the incident. The incident sent shockwaves across the city. The area was sealed by heavy contingents of police and FC.

Provincial Interior Minister visited the sight of explosion and said that the government is trying all possible ways to fight against extremism and terrorism.

The bomb disposal squad was called in to gather evidences. The bomb was locally improvised and used more than one kilogram of explosive materials as per the report by bomb disposal squad.
