Govt ready to hold talks with PTI: Pervaiz Rashid
Govt never closed doors for talks, Imran Khan did; we've always been open to talks, Info Minister
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Pervaiz Rashid has said that the government is ready to hold talks with Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI). He said that the government had never called off the talks with PTI but Imran Khan had. He said that the government was always open to negotiations.
Talking exclusively today (Sunday) to Dunya News, Pervaiz Rashid said that Chairman PTI Imran Khan always promoted the politics of allegations and wanted to prolong the agitation. He said that Imran Khan never provided any rigging proofs before media or the courts. “If Imran Khan has fake votes, he must take the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to the court as government has nothing to do with it”, he said. “Imran Khan should move to courts, government will not create any hindrance”, he added.
Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) leader said that the government could not dictate the judicial commission or the courts. Rashid urged Imran Khan to provide the proofs as early as possible to make commission’s job easier.
“Imran Khan should tell which sort of negotiations he wants”, Pervaiz Rashid said. He said that the government will work in accordance with the law. “Does Imran Khan want the judicial commission to move to Bani Gala?” taunted Rashid. “Only God knows what Imran Khan wants. I have no idea what he’d do tonight”, said Pervaiz Rashid.
