Local body elections under biometric system not possible before Sep 2015
Elections can be held in KPK without biometric system by April 2015
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has submitted its reply to the Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan about holding of local body elections through biometric system in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK).
According to the reply submitted, demand made by Imran Khan of holding local body elections in the province is not possible before September 15 2015.
The report further states that time is required to buy biometric machines. Elections can be held in KPK without biometric system by April 2015 and that the schedule for the elections would be issued in the same month of next year.
