PTI chief alleged that bigger corruption is being done through the coal power plants.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Saturday asked the government why were the prices of electricity raised when the fuel prices have actually gone down. He said the government has until November 30 to further reduce prices, Dunya News reported.

Mocking Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Khan said the prices of Fazlur Rehman and diesel have reduced. He kept using the word ‘diesel’ and Fazlur Rehman’s name interchangeably.

Addressing the ‘Azadi dharna’ participants, PTI chief said that the petrol prices should have gone down by at least Rs 15/liter.

He said it is strange that the electricity prices were raised when the prices of petrol were reduced.

PTI chief alleged that a bigger corruption is being done through the coal power plants.

He said the coal power plants are being installed in Punjab instead of Sindh which, he says, will increase the cost of production.

He said that it is ultimately the people who will have to pay the hefty price for electricity made of coal.

Imran Khan said that anyone who reveals hidden assets in ‘new Pakistan’ will be rewarded Rs 300 on every Rs 1000 of the revealed amount.

He said even child now know who are corrupt because of the sit-in.
