Musharraf steps up efforts to form All Pakistan Muslim League
Former president and army chief Pervez Musharraf has stepped up efforts to establish All Pakistan Muslim League. Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) like-minded group Chairman Hamid Nasir Chattha, former federal minister Dr Sher Afgan and several former secretaries have conducted meetings with him in Abu Dhabi.Former president Pervez Musharraf has invited more than two dozen important politicians to Abu Dhabi for consultation on the formation of new political party. In addition to Hamid Nasir Chattha, Sher Afgan Niazi, those invited include PML-Q NWFP President Amir Muqam, former federal minister Wazir Sarwar Khan, Marvi Memon, Faisal Saleh Hayat, Arbab Gulham Rahim, Gulham Server Khan, Ajmal Wazir Ali, Dr. Amjad Chaudhry Shahbaz, Sardar Talib Nakki, barrister Saif and Rashid Quershi. Sources said that former president Pervez Musharraf is in contact with a number of important political leaders over telephone. The former president is consulting these politicians for advice on his role in national politics and his return to the country.
