Pakistan only needs an 'economic' long march: Ahsan Iqbal
Imran should implement his Naya Pakistan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, said Ahsan Iqbal.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Ahsan Iqbal said on Monday that Imran Khan should educate his uncivilized party supporters. Raising slogans wouldn’t change anything.
Federal Minister of Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal said that Imran Khan gave an ultimatum of 48 hours for Nawaz Sharif’s resignation but has failed to achieve it. He should implement his Naya Pakistan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, said Ahsan Iqbal.
After attending a ceremony at University of Engineering and Technology in Lahore, Ahsan Iqbal speaking to media said that a single party is ruling Japan for past 50 years. Pakistan can also progress like other countries by strengthening its government, he said. The country only needs an economic long march, he asserted.
He remarked that PTI has created anarchy in the country in the name of Naya Pkaistan. Quoting the example of India’s Aam Admi Party (AAP) he said that they couldn’t win a mandate through politics of agitation. Criticizing PTI supporters, he said that they need to be educated for indulging in expletive-laden language.
What is the credibility of a revolution brought by Sheikh Rasheed, he asked? He said that it’s high time Imran Khan ends the protests in Islamabad, adding that he has failed to get a resignation from Nawaz Sharif within the 48 hours of deadline that he had announced.
