SC suspends decision to disqualify PMLN MNA Khalid Magsi
Court has ordered Election Commission to cancel the issuance of notification to MNA Khalid Magsi.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News)—Supreme Court of Pakistan has suspended the decision of disqualifying Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MNA Khalid Hussain Magsi on Thursday, Dunya News reported.
Court has ordered Election Commission to cancel the issuance of notification to the MNA.
A three-member bench led by Justice Saqib Nisar heard the case filed against the disqualification of PMLN MNA Khalid Magsi.
Cancelling the disqualification of Khalid Hussain Magsi, the court ordered the Election Commission to cancel the notification to be issued to the MNA.
Khalid Hussain Magsi was elected from constituency of Balochistan NA-267. Election Tribunal had held him ineligible after evidence was gathered in support of the allegations of rigged elections. The court has postponed the hearing of Magsi’s appeal until the second week of October.
