Court did not order to file case against PM, CM Punjab: Pervaiz Rasheed
"Court ordered Police to investigate Model Town Tragedy according to law" - Information Minister
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Pervaiz Rasheed has said that Lahore Session Court has not ordered police to file case against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif.
Responding to the Lahore Session Court decision, Pervaiz Rasheed said that the court has only ordered the police to continue investigating the Model Town Tragedy according to the law on the request of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT). He said that court did not order to launch an FIR against anyone.
On the other hand, Punjab government spokesman has said that Model Town Commission has not held CM Punjab responsible for Model Town Tragedy. Judicial Commission has asked Punjab government to fix responsibility in its report.
Spokesman informed that Punjab government had immediately started to act upon the judicial commission’s report.
