Islamabad still sealed off; PTA orders to restore mobile services
More than 35,000 police and paramilitary forces have been deployed in Islamabad.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Police have sealed off the federal capital with barbed wires and shipping containers in a bid to foil mass protest rallies of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), Dunya News reported on Thursday.
PTI will begin its march from Lahore’s Zaman Park and PAT is expected to launch its march from Tahirul Qadri s Model Town residence.
More than 35,000 police and paramilitary forces have been deployed to try to thwart the major anti-government rally.
As per details, Faizaabad Interchange has been blocked with shipping containers while 400 policemen have been deployed at the site. IJP Road and Murree Road have been sealed near Faizabad. Main Murree Road has also been blocked at Bhara Kahu.
On the other hand, Pakistan Telecom Authority (PTA) has directed the network providers to restored cellular services in Islamabad following two-day suspension.
