ISLAMABAD/LAHORE (Dunya News) - The core committee of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) has decided to hold long march on the scheduled date.

The march will head towards Islamabad through G.T.Road under the command of PTI chief Imran Khan on August 14.

The core committee devised a plan in case the PTI chief was put under house arrest. The plan also includes a way out to deal with the possible arrest of its party workers.

The PTI core committee also established four committees to make arrangements for the Azadi march.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Javed Hashmi have been assigned to gather workers in Punjab.

Meanwhile, Imran Khan will oversee the arrangements of long march from July 22.

The today's session also endorsed Imran Khan’s statement over recounting of votes in all constituencies.

Earlier, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leaders and its federal ministers strongly reacted against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan’s statements, saying that PTI chief must give up threatening the government and judiciary.

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rasheed said that Imran Khan cannot stop government’s ‘peace and progress march’, adding that every decision and step of Imran Khan is against national unity. He said Khan doesn't accept Election Commission and election tribunals either.

Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique said that Imran Khan wants to wind up the democracy by terming the elections disputed.

Saad Rafique said that Imran Khan is helping Pakistan’s enemies by spreading anarchy in the country.
