PPP, PTI, JUI, ANP, AML commend Nawaz Sharif's decision to visit India

Zardari said that Nawaz Sharif's decision is politically correct and wise.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Jamiat Ulama-e-Islam (JUI), Awami National Party (ANP) and Awami Muslim League (ANP) welcomed on Saturday Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s decision to visit India to participate in Indian Prime Minister-elect Narendra Modi’s oath ceremony, Dunya News reported.
PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari said, in a statement, that the decision was difficult but necessary. He said that political leadership should continue taking such decisions in national interest.
Zardari said that Nawaz Sharif’s decision is politically correct and wise.
Opposition leader Khursheed Shah said that accepting Narendra Modi’s invitation to visit India is a good step and will leave positive effect on region’s situation.
Maulana Fazlur Rahman termed Prime Minister’s India visit ‘positive’.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s Javed Hashmi said that Prime Minister’s India visit is in country’s best interest.
ANP’s senator Shahi Syed said that it was a very good decision and that someone has to take the first step towards resolution of problems and improvement in relations.
AML Chief Sheikh Rasheed said that meeting of both prime minister is positive for the region.
