38 killed in accident on RCD Highway in Hub

Bodies of several people were charred beyond recognition.

HUB (Web Desk) - At least 30 people were killed Saturday when a truck collided with two passenger buses in Pakistan s Balochistan province, Dunya News reported.

The accident occurred when two speeding buses collided with an oil tanker coming from an opposite direction on RCD Highway in Balochistan.

 

Police said one bus was on its way to the southern port city of Karachi while the other was heading to Quetta city.

 

Huge fire erupted due to explosion of oil tanker which engulfed both passenger buses.

The injured people were admitted to a nearby hospital where several of them were said to be in critical condition.

Hospital sources said that the bodies were completely burnt and could not be identified.

Fire fighters put out the blaze but police has not cleared the buses yet as the temperature inside is still very high.

Rescue teams said that the death toll may further rise as some bodies have not been recovered.
