QUETTA (Dunya News) - Action has been taken against the parliamentary secretary of transport in connection with a violation of the election code of conduct related to the local government elections in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan.

According to a statement issued by the Provincial Election Commission in Quetta, a notice has been served to Parliamentary Secretary for Transport Liaquat Lehri.

The Election Commission stated that the parliamentary secretary had participated in a corner meeting.

The statement further said that the notice was issued on the basis of a report by the District Monitoring Officer, who has summoned Liaquat Lehri to appear today (Monday) to provide an explanation.
