Punjab LB polls: Scrutiny of nomination papers begins today
The polling will take place on the January 30.
(Web Desk) - Scrutiny of nomination papers of the candidates for Punjab local government elections will start today (Monday).
Over one hundred and sixty-three thousand candidates have filed nomination papers for the upcoming Local Government elections in Punjab.
The provincial Election Commission said scrutiny will continue until 4th of next month.
Appeals against acceptance and rejection of nomination papers will be received on 6th and 7th of next month.
The final list of candidates for four thousand and twenty-eight Union Council and one hundred and seventy-two Municipal Committee seats of the province will be displayed on 13th and the polling will take place on the 30th of next month.
