APC has specific national agenda, says Pervaiz Rashid
Says at present economy is much strong due to the prudent policies of the government.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Information Minister Senator Pervaiz Rashid has said that All Parities Conference is being held on the basis of national agenda and no politician can afford to stay away.
Talking to the newsmen in Lahore‚ he said that national issues are being run on democratic lines. He said when we assumed power‚ we had a feeble economy; however‚ now the economy is much strong due to the prudent policies of the government.
To a question‚ regarding the situation in Karachi‚ Pervaiz Rashid said situation is under control due to the solid measures of the government and the writ of the government is in force there.
To another question about the power crisis‚ he said various medium‚ short and long time projects are being executed to overcome the crisis.
Senator Pervaiz Rashid said that a huge subsidy of 500 billion rupees is being given and electricity tariff is still less as compared to the other countries.
He said that at present the electricity is being supplied at the rate of 17 rupees which will be brought down at the rate of 10 rupees.
He said that work is underway to produce cheaper electric through hydle power and one such project with a capacity of 6600 megawatt at Gaddani.
The Minister said that the petroleum prices are linked with the prices of oil in their international market.
