Afghan President meets PM Nawaz

Afghan President Hamid Karzai arrives in Islamabad on a day long official visit.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - One-on-One talks between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Afghan President Hamid Karzai are underway in Islamabad.
The meeting will be followed by delegation level talks between the two sides. The two leaders are discussing bilateral relations‚ Afghan reconciliation process‚ regional situation‚ terrorism‚ and post foreign troops' withdrawal situation.
Earlier on arrival at the PM house‚ the Afghan President was received by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. A smartly turned out contingent of armed forces presented guard of honor to the visiting dignitary. On the occasion‚ anthems of the two countries were also played.
An eighty member delegation including Defense and Foreign Ministers and head of Afghan high peace council are accompanying the Afghan president.
Earlier‚ President Karzai was received at Islamabad airport by the Advisor on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz.
A twenty-one gun salute was presented in his honour.
This is the first visit of the Afghan President since assumption of power by the new government in Pakistan.
