Confrontation among institutions is destructive for system: PM
Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani Wednesday said confrontation between institutions will destroy everything. He said government is ready to prosecute Musharraf if coalition parties support. People will continue giving deadlines, well stay in power.Talking to media anchorpersons in Islamabad, Prime Minister Gilani reiterated that Pakistan Peoples Party has not gained power through backdoor channel. People of Pakistan voted us and gave heavy mandate. Even month of March will pass but the government will not depart. Anyone who wishes to change the regime will have to wait for five years. He apologized for the statements of some of the PPP leaders and said Fauzia Wahab will not talk about governments policies. She will only talk about party policies. The information minister is there to give statements on governments policies. Prime Minister said he is not defending anyone. If I had to defend something, I would have defended NRO.PM Gilani maintained that army is not interfering in the politics. He revealed that Kamal Azfars statement in the Supreme Court had affected the government adversely. Kamal Azfar had stated during the hearing of NRO case in Supreme Court that NRO poses no threat to the PPP government. The democratic system is under threat from GHQ and CIA -- US intelligence agency.Prime Minister Gilani said decision to restore deposed judges was mine. Army chief played no role in it. Commenting on rental power plants project, he said so much upheaval erupted on the issue so the investors fled. When well call each other thief, who is going to invest in the country?
