PM Nawaz assures support to establish peace in Afghanistan
UK FM William Hague called on Prime Minister Nawaz in Islamabad.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that Pakistan will continue to support the international community for establishment of peace in Afghanistan.
The Prime Minister held a meeting with British Foreign Secretary William Hague in Islamabad today (Thursday).
During the meeting, William Hague appreciated Pakistan s role for peace in the region particularly Afghanistan.
He said Pakistan is playing a key role in the war on terror.
Matters relating to cooperation in war on terrorism also came under discussion during the meeting.
Hague’s arrival follows the recent two-day visit to Pakistan by the British Prime Minister David Cameron, who was the first foreign head of the government to visit Pakistan following the formation of the new government.
The visit underlines the UK’s continued commitment to a deep, long-term and strategic relationship with Pakistan.
