US pledges support for Pakistan: Olson
US ambassador says his government is supporting Pakistan's mango farmers.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - US Ambassador to Pakistan Richard Olson has said his country will continue providing assistance to Pakistan for the promotion of agriculture sector.
Addressing the annual Mango conference in Islamabad on Monday‚ he said we have invested more than 230 million dollars to fund projects that support the growth of Pakistan s agriculture sector including training of 31‚000 people in Punjab and Sindh.
Olson said the U.S government is supporting Pakistan s mango farmers through infrastructure upgrades‚ new market opportunities and access to international certifications.
He said this has increased manifold exports of Pakistani mangoes to the international markets.
