BRUNEI (Web Desk) - Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif s Special Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz met Indian External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid on Tuesday morning on the sidelines of the ASEAN Summit.

Both discussed bilateral issues and ways to further improve relations between the two countries.

Sartaj Aziz said we want to build strong relationship with India. He said there is a possibility of meeting between Nawaz Sharif and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in September.

This is the first high level dialogue between Pakistan and India since Sharif assumed Prime Minister s office after May 11 elections.

Khurshid and Aziz were attending the ASEAN foreign ministers meet.

Talks between the two were on the cards after the Sharif government was sworn-in in Pakistan. Sharif, during his election campaign, has made several positive statements of improving the ties with India.

In June, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh s special envoy Satinder Lambah had also travelled to Pakistan to meet with Nawaz Sharif.
