PTI demands re-election in NA-125, NA-122 Lahore

The PTI has been staging protest sit-in in Lahore since May 12 against alleged rigging elections.
ISLAMABAD (Online) - Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insafs’ central leader Hamid Khan Wednesday called for re-elections in two National Assembly seats of Lahore, NA-125 and NA-122, alleging that massive vote-rigging was carried out in the city.
The PTI has been staging protest sit-in in Lahore since May 12 against ‘rigging’ in May 11 general elections.
The sit-in is organized at Lalik Chowk in Defence area where dozens of party workers and supporters have camping out, calling for reelection in NA-122 to NA-125 constituencies.
The participants demand that ECP take notice of stealing of their mandate and order recounting in the constituencies.
PTI says that PML-N candidates influenced election results and turned PTI victory into defeat in collaboration with government’s machinery.
“The PTI has never been aggressive. Maulana Fazl has been in power for a long, he knows very well how the rigging is done,” Hamid Khan spoke to reporters outside the Election Commission of Pakistan’s headquarter wherein he submitted complaints about rigging in Lahore.
