The federal government on Tuesday has announced Aghaze Haqooqe Balochistan Package aimed at addressing concerns of Baloch people and remove their grievances, reported Dunya News.Senator Raza Rabbani announced the Balochistan Package in the parliament. According to the package, the federal government will have to present a progress report on the package after every three months in Senate and National Assembly. The centre will have to give 30 percent of the revenue generated from Sendak project and the project will be property of the province after completion. The package also states that all the cases except major ones will be dismissed whereas Pak Army will be called back from Sui. Moreover, new cantonments will not be established in the Sui area. Announcing the package, Mian Raza Rabbani said today is a historic day for Pakistan. The centre will become stronger when the provinces are stronger. He said the first part of the Balochistan package contains constitutional matters. The Aghaze Haqooqe Balochistan package states that a commission will be constituted for missing persons whereas a judicial commission will be formed to investigate murder of Akbar Bugti. Frontier Constabulary will be made under Chief Minister whereas posts of coast guards will be abolished in all areas except coastal area. The imprisoned political workers will be freed. Investigations will be initiated in allotment of land in Gawadar. All other operations except operation against terrorism will be ended. PM extends dialogue offer to all political forces Earlier, addressing National Assembly, Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani told that all parties had been taken on board for drafting of Balochistan package. He said the parliament was being made supreme and sovereign institution. Gilani said he had announced Rs 9 billion for Balochistan right after forming the government and sought pardon from the people of the province for past mistakes. He reiterated that Baloch people suffered atrocities during dictatorship. Prime Minister vowed to give equal rights to Baloch people. Aghazae Haqooqe Balochistan Package is a positive beginning and will provide justice. I offer all the political forces to come and negotiate. We want to remove sense of deprivation among people of Balochistan. Gilani said we want to stretch hand for friendship to the angry Baloch brothers.
