Charge-sheet prepared against Amin Faheem, bail record summoned

A three-member bench of the apex court heard the NICL case on Wednesday.


ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Supreme Court has sought the bail record of the main accused Mohsin Habib Warraich and former federal minister for commerce Amin Fahim while ordered inquiry against FIA officers for being ignorant in the case.

 

A three-member bench of apex court, headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, heard the case pertaining to the multi-billion-rupee scam in the National Insurance Company (NICL).

 

The progress report, compiled by Director Legal FIA was presented in the court.

 

The report stated that the interior ministry has been requested to add names of five accused on exit control list (ECL) who have flown away.

 

The Director Legal FIA apprised the court that Mohsin Warraich was residing in Britain while Islamabad High Court (IHC) had given him a month- bail.

 

On which the Chief Justice questioned as to how the court granted him bail when Warraich was not even present.

 

The court summoned the bail records of Amin Fahim and Mohsin Warraich and adjourned the hearing.
