US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has arrived in Pakistan on a 4-day official visit. Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi welcomed Hillary Clinton. During her stay she will meet some important personalities including President, Prime Minister and Chief of Army Staff. Hillary will also spend a day in Lahore during her visit. Punjab Government has requested to eliminate some of her meetings from the schedule. While on the other side Richard Holbrooke gave a briefing to media in Washington stating that Hillary will meet all the eminent politicians of Pakistan and will also discuss upon the necessities of IDPs and public of Pakistan. On the other hand, former federal minister Gohar Ayyub while talking to Dunya News said that Hillary Clintons visit is of great importance because its purpose is to clear the air on misunderstandings between both of the countries. He said that Richard Holbrook and John Kerry had also visited Pakistan for the same purpose. He said that Pakistan Army needs training, modern weapons and aid to fight the Taliban in Waziristan; and Hillarys visit has become more important in this regard. He said that Pakistan needs to improve its communication system for which it requires funding. He further said that Pakistan should have to present its terms before the US in a better way.
