Security tightened in view of terrorism threats: Malik

Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that security has been beefed up in view of terror threats.

A high level meeting on Sunday with Interior Minister Rehman Malik in the chair reviewed overall security situation of the country.Later talking to media‚ Rehman Malik said that law enforcing agencies are performing well. He said that terrorists might strike in Karachi‚ D.I.Khan‚ Quetta and Islamabad.The Minister said in view of terror threats security has been beefed up. He said terrorists traveling from Karachi to Peshawar have been arrested and suicide jackets‚ other arms and ammunition recovered from them.The interior minister said some terrorists destined for Karachi from Peshawar have also been arrested.
