Balochistan: PMA protests against kidnapping of fellow doctors

The doctors held protest against the abduction of their fellow doctor, media reports said.

Doctors from government and private hospitals participated in the rally taken out for released of their colleague in Balochistan.Dr Din Mohammad Bangulzai, surgeon affiliated with Bolan Medical College, was taken away by armed men on Sunday when he was coming to Quetta from Mastung. On Wednesday, the kidnappers contacted the family of Dr Bangulzai and demanded a ransom of Rs8 million for his release.The strike is being observed on the call of Pakistan Medical Association (PMA).On Thursday, the doctors across the province warned the government to recover Dr. Deen Muhammed within 24 hours; otherwise, the fraternity of doctors will go on strike from tomorrow in the province.The representative of the doctors, Dr. Furqanud Din said only the emergency wards in the government hospitals will be kept functional during the strike.
