President Zardari seeks Chinese help to overcome power crisis

President Asif Ali Zardari has reached Hangzhou in the second phase of his visit to China. The president will sign the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) of Pak-China cooperation in the agricultural sector there. Earlier Pakistan and China signed the MOU for the construction of Bunji dam in Astore district of the Northern Areas of Pakistan. The dam will generate 7,000 Mega watt of electricity. Both the countries also signed the MOU for preparing anti-hepatitis B and C vaccine and investment in Pakistan. President Zardari also called on Zhejiang Zhengtai Solar Energy Science and Technology Company President, Yang Liyou. President Zardari on the occasion maintained that China should help Pakistan in generating cheap electricity from water, solar energy and coal. He assured that Chinese companies would be provided with all the facilities to overcome the power crisis in Pakistan.
