Hot, dry weather expected in most parts of country

Hot and dry weather is likely to persist in most parts of the country during next 24 hours.

Scorching heat was recorded in most plane areas while light rain turned weather pleasant in some parts of Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhawa and Kashmir during last 24 hours.Weather remains pleasant after rain in Khuzdar and Lasbela areas of Balochistan.Temperature has jumped to 45C in several some cities of Sindh including Dadu, Larkana, Nawab Shah, Sibi and Mohenjo Daro.According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), stormy winds are expected in South Punjab and upper Sindh during next 24 hours.Temperature recorded in different cities during last 24 hours was: Islamabad 37C, Lahore 42C, Quetta 31C, Muzafarabad 36C, Multan and Faisalabad 41C, Karachi 34C, Peshawar 37C, Gilgit 27C and Muree 25.
