Two Supreme Court judges Justice Faqeer Muhammad and Justice Javed Buttar have tendered their resignations. Both of the judges dispatched their resignations to the President. The case of the above judges, who took oath under Provisional Constitution Order (PCO), was referred to the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC). According to sources, the cases of Justice Faqeer Muhammad and Justice Javed Buttar were forwarded to SJC after the SC verdict on judges appointment case and issuance of seniority list of judges. The SJC meeting was convened for August 8 to review the matter. However, both the judges decided to resign from their positions after due consultations.
