FTO website hacked by Indian hackers

Federal Tax Ombudsman (FTO) Pakistan website has been hacked by Indian hackers.

On Friday, the websites hacked About FTO section displaying photographs of Indian freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru, with Hindustan Jindabad and Jai Hind written on the page instead of Pakistan Zindabad.At the end the hacker has mentioned the e-mail address ‘seckiller@ymail.com’ as well.The site - www.fto.gov.pk - is described as a critical component of the Pakistani governments strategy to strengthen complaint filing and decision support system for aggrieved taxpayers.The website provides information on the legal and procedural framework, organisational and administrative set-up of the FTO Secretariat. It also provides the address of FTO Secretariat in Islamabad and its regional offices.This is not the first time that Pakistani websites got hacked.Experts said, federal government should add more professionals to shield its cyber security to protect country’s sensitive computer data.
