Outage crisis to be resolved within 48 hours

Ministry of Water and Power has said that crisis of laodshedding would be resolved within 48 hours.

AESC Lalpir and Hebco Power Plant became out of order due to mechanical fault, causing stoppage of 700 MW of electricity.According to Ministry of Water and Power, current crisis of loadshedding is due to annual renovation and mechanical faults with the power plants.Related administration has been directed to restore the supply of electricity on priority basis with the hope that the critical situation would be normal soon.According to official facts and figures, shortfall of electricity is 4500 MW. Total production of electricity is 8,000 while consumption is 12,500 MW.
