ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Fake accounts on social media using the names of retired Pak Army officials were blocked.

It was revealed that the people behind the fake accounts belong to a political party. A specified political narrative was being spread with these fake accounts.

The impression was given that a particular party was being supported from within the army.

The Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) has blocked the accounts. Legal action is being taken against those who have been running the fake handles.
