(Web Desk) – Pakistani actor Madiha Imam has advised young people, rather cautioned them, that they should abstain from marrying abroad.

In 2023, she got married with with Moji Basar who is a resident of India’s Arunchal Pardesh.

Recently, the actor marked her presence at an interview recently where she talked about personal as well as professional lives.

She said just because her husband is an Indian, many people called him Hindu and people demanded the proof of Nikahnama (marriage contract).

“Is there only one religion in India?” she asked the critics.
“Long-distance [marriage] is terrible,” she added. “Of course, there are benefits to it as well, including the longing to meet and see your partner after a long time, but the troubles that the long-distance causes outweigh its pros. So I would rather live with the person than send him heart emoticons to make it up.”

She said in order to clear the air and alleviate the concerns of the people, she had to post the photo of her Nikahnama on the social media.

But, she continued, even then she was criticized. Imam added that even it is against the teachings of Islam to make fun of anyone’s face.
