LAHORE (Web Desk) - As the new season of Pakistan Super League (PSL) is just a month away, renowned singer and musician Ali Zafar has sought the people’s opinion regarding his involvement in giving the title song for the league.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, the singer openly questioned the potential impact of his involvement in creating the anthem for the PSL this year and urged people to vote.

“Do you think that if I did the anthem of PSL this year, it will enhance the image of the brand of PSL and PCB, deepen the connection with people, and bring more financial benefit to all stakeholders or will it prove to be otherwise,” the musician asked his fans in an open question on X.

“Be honest with your votes. I have no ego and I won’t mind,” he added. “I will explain later, why I have posted this tweet,” he said in another post, while urging his fans only to vote for now.

It merits mention here that Ali Zafar gave anthems for the first three seasons of the tournament.

He sang and produced ‘Ab Khel Ke Dikha’ in 2016. His song ‘Ab Khel Jamay Ga’ broke all the records of cricket anthems and became the most popular song following its release in 2018.

For PSL season 3, he sang ‘Dil Se Jaan Laga De’.
