Ali stresses punctuality and meaningful content

LAHORE (Muhammad Bilal) – Showbiz star Babar Ali says he has never thought of working in any foreign country during his acting career.

Appearing in Dunya TV’s sought-after programme ‘Mazaaq Raat’, the senior actor candidly spoke about his career and other things.

He made an interesting revelation that while performing in a film as a hero, Shafqat Cheema (who was playing the role of villain) gave him a nasty blow due to which he fell unconscious. “The moment I regained consciousness, I found myself in the lap of Cheema.”

Sounding bitter about the state of Pakistan’s film industry, he said every actor and director was responsible for it.

“If given a chance to rewind, I will do two things to set the house in order – punctuality and theme-based productions. The films must be meaningful and have a message,” he said.

Asked about any wish to work abroad, Ali said he never thought of moving to any other country and work over there. “There is no doubt that Bollywood is going great guns but I have no interest in going over there for work,” he said.
