Srha Asghar faces ‘sexual assault’ outside her house
KARACHI (Web Desk) – Karachi witnessed yet another distressing incident of sexual harassment on Wednesday.
This time around, actor Srha Asghar found herself in the unfortunate situation of having to file a police complaint against an intruder who forcibly entered her residence to assault her.
An FIR was lodged at the Shah Faisal Police Station. The incident took place late on Wednesday, when the renowned “Zindan” actor was on her way back from a local market.
Allegedly, an unidentified individual began pursuing her and issued threats as she made her way back from the market. The complainant reported to the authorities that the assailant, identified as Asim, persistently trailed her to her home.
A confrontation ensued between the attacker and Srha's husband. The assailant even made an attempt to physically assault Srha. However, she was able to escape the situation.
Later, local residents intervened and managed to apprehend the individual, identified as Asim, son of Yasin. Subsequently, the culprit was taken into police custody.
