Ailing singer Asad Abbas awaits government's aid

Asad Abbas preformed in Coke Studio and remained lead singer of Meekal Hassan music band
LAHORE (Web Desk) - Pakistani singer Asad Abbas is suffering from kidney disease and has been advised by the doctors to undergo transplant. The surgery costs around fifty million rupees and hence the singer is looking for any probable government assistance.
Asad Abbas earned accolades such as the Pakistani Sangeet Icon award and a Lux Style Award for his exceptional talent. He also did a Coke Studio song ‘Mahi Gal’ which he did for season 6 and preformed as lead singer of Meekal Hassan Band.
Recently, while talking to a private news channel Asad Abbas while highlighting his deteriorating health condition said that currently he has to undergo dialysis four to five days within a week, up from twice a week.
Asad revealed that seven years ago, while having a medical check-up due to high blood pressure. After undergoing several medical examination tests, he discovered that both his kidneys had failed.
He said that he remained under-treatment in a hospital of Islamabad, but then ultimately decided to go for a transplant, his brother donated his kidney to him. Upon being revived he returned to Faisalabad, but unfortunately the donated kidney could not survive for long and after some time he again went to the stage of dialysis and has been undergoing it ever since.
Asad mentioned that the team of interim Punjab Chief Minister had visited him, but he did not receive any response from the Prime Minister. Asad Abbas also urged oversees Pakistanis to help him in his treatment.
Showbiz’s senior actor Behroze Sabzwari while pacifying Asad Abbas said that he should not lose hope. He mentioned that like renowned global singer Alamgir was also affected by kidney disease. Alamgir underwent dialysis for almost thirteen years, but now he has successfully undergone a kidney transplant and has regained his health, hence you should be optimistic about the life as well.
