MUMBAI (Web Desk) - Sonakshi Sinha, in a promotional interview for the upcoming series "Dahaad," shared an interesting revelation about her father, Shatrughan Sinha, expressing his desire for her to pursue a career as a police officer.
During a conversation, Sonakshi disclosed that her father used to proudly tell his friends that she would become a police officer someday. Excitedly, she revealed that as soon as she secured the role of a police officer in "Dahaad," she immediately sent her first picture in uniform to her father.
The acclaimed actor stated, "Papa is very happy. When I was a child, Papa used to tell his friends, 'My daughter would be a police officer.' So, after donning the uniform, I sent him the first photo and told Papa, 'I have fulfilled your dreams.' He is very keen to watch the show."
Sonakshi went on to discuss her character in "Dahaad," emphasising that she had been seeking a powerful role for a long time. She described the character as interesting, with elements of fun. Expressing her excitement, she mentioned that this marked her debut on the OTT platform and that audiences would get to see her in a long-format series for the first time.
Directed by Reema Kagti and Ruchika Oberoi, "Dahaad" stars Sonakshi Sinha in the lead role. The series also features Vijay Varma, Sohum Shah, and Gulshan Devaiah in significant roles. Fans can catch the web-series exclusively on the popular OTT platform with its premiere scheduled for May 12.
