MUMBAI (Web Desk) - Deepika Padukone, a prominent Bollywood actress, has faced backlash from trolls over her Oscars 2023 behind-the-scenes photos that surfaced on social media. The photos revealed her preparing for her speech before hitting the stage.
Some netizens criticised her for having FOMO (fear of missing out) or being insecure because she wasn't able to attend the MET Gala, the biggest international fashion event of the year.
Furthermore, some accused her of stealing the thunder from her fellow actress, Alia Bhatt, who recently made her debut at the MET Gala. Deepika, however, responded to the criticism with immense support for Alia on Instagram.
Deepika shared pictures of herself from previous MET Galas and complimented Alia's debut appearance. Alia stunned in a pure white gown adorned with 100,000 pearls designed by Prabal Gurung.
Deepika has walked the MET Gala red carpet a few times in the past. Despite the backlash, Deepika continues to support her colleagues in the industry and celebrates their achievements.
