MUMBAI (Web Desk) - As Shah Rukh Khan's next movie 'Jawan' is anticipated to be another box office hit after 'Pathaan', various OTT giants are competing to acquire the film's streaming rights.
According to reports, 'Jawan' is seen as a movie that can generate substantial viewership due to its universal appeal, mega-budget, and Pan-India star cast. It is expected to be a multi-lingual spectacle that will connect with a wider audience, making it a big win for any OTT platform.
Reports suggest that Netflix is currently leading the race to bag the official rights of the film. This is not surprising as Netflix has a longstanding relationship with Shah Rukh's production house, Red Chillies Entertainment. It already holds almost 20 titles of the production house and is keen to add another to the list.
'Jawan,' directed by Atlee, is slated for release on June 2, 2023. The film features an impressive cast, including Vijay Sethupathi, Sanjay Durr, Nayanthara, and a cameo by Deepika Padukone.
